D9 Navamsa Chart & Reporting

The Navamsa Chart, also known as the D9 chart, is a significant divisional chart in Vedic astrology. It provides insights into the deeper aspects of one's life, particularly focusing on marriage, partnerships, and spiritual matters.

A Navamsa chart is a more detailed chart than a birth chart, created by dividing each zodiac sign into nine parts, or navamsas, of 3 degrees and 20 minutes each. The zodiac contains 108 navamsas.

A Navamsa chart is used to analyze a person's life in detail, particularly in relation to marriage and destiny. For example, the 7th house in a birth chart represents what a person wants, while the 7th house in a Navamsa chart represents what they will actually get.

The Navamsa (D9) divisional chart in Vedic astrology is by a distance the next most important Vedic astrological chart after the Lagna chart (D1).

The D9 chart focuses on the second half of life. In other words, the Navamsa chart is a magnified look of the D1 chart for all events in life that are relevant in the second part of life. If a person lives up to 80, the Navamsa chart becomes important for astrological analysis and predictions (roughly) post the age of 35. On the other hand, if a person lives up to 40, the importance of the Navamsa chart becomes paramount for astrological connotations post the age of 18. As an example, a person born with the D1 ascendant in Taurus will exhibit the personality characteristics of Venus (Lord of Taurus) in the first phase of her life but will exhibit Leo like personality traits in the second half of life if her D9 ascendant is in Leo.

The D9 chart provides an in-depth analysis of the married/spousal life of a person that influences almost all events of a person’s life. As an example, for a person born with D1 7th house in Scorpio and D9 7th house in Aquarius will have a spouse who will exhibit Scorpio induced Martian characteristics in the first part of his/her life but will exhibit Aquarius induced Saturnian characteristics in the second half of life.

The D9 chart is a magnified view of the 9th house of the D1 chart that stands for bhagya (fortune, luck) in general, among other important significances.
