Uranian Astrology Charts & Interpretations

Uranian astrology focuses on using midpoints as opposed to traditional houses in the birth chart. It is much more concise. It was developed in the 1930s and the mid-19th century as a new way of interpreting the cosmos. 

Uranian astrology harnesses points of energy which serve as catalysts for activity. 

The primary factor differentiating Uranian astrology from traditional astrology is the placement and interpretation of the 10th house or midheaven, known as the Meridian. 

According to western astrology the 10th house represents our career, public standing. 

In Uranian astrology however it is a place in which we find our souls purpose, centering on the individual rather than their public persona. Instead of this house focusing on what we put out into the world, it centers around what we put into ourselves. 

Another distinction is that the substance of Uranian astrology is energy, not physical spaces or places like planets, even though they are still used. 

It's a system based on points of power that are called Transneptunian planets. The main 2 are Hades and Cupido. The others are Zeus, Kronos, Apollon, Admetos, Volcanus, and Poseido. These show hyper specific patterns that affect us, and our emotional responses to them. It’s a great tool to delve deeper into one's charts, it helps us understand our personalities, motivations, and sensitivities that aren't found by looking at just the birth chart. 

The meaning of the signs is the same, even though they are in midpoint form. They usually spark events, connections, or sentiments. 

Rather than casting a birth chart, Uranian astrology requires the use of a midpoint tree. It still requires birth day, year, time, and location. 

Midpoints are the middle degrees of the two planets, they act as triggers and catalysts for emotion, change, and growth. They can explain why you have a specific reaction to certain people or situations. 

We can apply that midpoint to any planet that falls within the orb of 1° . This is when catalyst events occur. 

When it comes to planning events, midpoints could help you discover your ideal wedding date, or moments to plan a first date, or have a child, buy a house, move, etc. etc. 

Looking at the transits of the stars with midpoints can also concisely monitor one's moods. I always suggest all of my clients to stay on top of your transits and progressions. Not all midpoints spring rainbows and butterflies. ‘The hell point’ is a very intense midpoint between Saturn and Pluto, Saturn limits and represses, and Pluto transforms and obsesses, these planets can create a controlling vibe. If this midpoint is activated by an astrological occurrence, that puts one in a major funk. When aroused by another person's chart, it creates a toxic relationship between the two fueled by jealousy and resentment. Basically, it feels like you're in hell, the name of the midpoint.
